At CRH Talent in IT, we are looking for a Government Affairs Manager to work in a Hybrid environment.
Location: Naucalpan, Mexico
This position is responsible for managing internal and external government relations, lobbying efforts, and critical processes at all levels of government.
Key Responsibilities
- Government Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with officials across all levels of the Mexican government (federal, state, and municipal).
- Trade Negotiations: Actively participate in and support international trade negotiations, including key agreements such as USMCA, Mx-EU, and Mx-Mercosur.
- Incentive Programs: Coordinate and negotiate government incentives for new investment projects and strategic initiatives.
- Regulatory Affairs: Monitor, analyze, and engage on domestic market regulations, including but not limited to Repuve, customs, labor laws, taxation, and environmental policies.
- Permitting & Licensing: Oversee and facilitate necessary licenses and permitting processes for Ford's operations.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company in relevant industry associations (e.g., AMIA, AMCHAM) to defend the company's interests.
- Global Coordination: Collaborate closely with the company's International Government Affairs and Policy/Compliance teams to ensure alignment and leverage global strategies.
- Project Management: Coordinate all activities and initiatives, providing regular updates and reporting directly to the Government Affairs Director.
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in government affairs, the automotive industry, or international organizations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong quantitative skills with the ability to manage, interpret, and present economic and industry data effectively.
- Geopolitical Insight: In-depth knowledge of international trade agreements and the capacity to evaluate complex geopolitical scenarios.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven critical and strategic thinking abilities to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions.
- Resilience: Demonstrated resilience and effective management of stressful, volatile, and uncertain environments.
- Teamwork & Project Management: Excellent teamwork behaviors and robust project management capabilities.
- Professional Demeanor: A professional image and demeanor suitable for fostering high-level relationships with government officials and external stakeholders.
- Language Proficiency: 100% fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and basic knowledge of emerging AI tools.
- Work Model: Availability to work in a hybrid scheme (combination of in-office and remote work).
